Artist- Kaylee Greer Born- 1987 ********************** Personal Background- Attended University of Tampa for visual arts and communication and she received her bachelor degree in 2009. She traveled the world teaching pet photography workshops and has seen her work published in many major photography editorials. She volunteers at local animal shelters and photographs homeless dogs when she gets the chance. She lives in Boston at the moment and pursues her passion of pet photography there. Style- Her style is drawn directly from the dogs soul. She loves the joy, whimsy, and happiness that is so uniquely canine. She is drawn to vibrant colors. Her favorite pictures are when she captures the comedy and characters of the dogs. Lighting is her biggest focus in the pictures. Philosophy- Kaylee is in love with dogs. She believes dogs are some of the happiest creatures on earth. She tries to capture this in her photos. She photographs homeless dogs in her free time as well to try and show that they are just as beautiful and as deserving as the dogs that have a home. She is trying to evoke happiness in you when you look at her pictures. Influences- She talked a lot about making sure the lighting was perfect and when you look at her photos you can tell they were well planned out. She also made sure to explain that dogs don’t speak english so they are harder for you to get their attention because the fidget and move everywhere due to a short attention span. She said to make sure to carry toys and treats with you at all times to get them to focus. You should hold them over the camera so they look at your lense. Also having them on their leash is necessary so they stay where they should be and out of trouble, plus you can edit the leash out of the final picture.
